If you are like me, the bedroom is your little corner of paradise where you relax and unwind. Therefore, this space should include plants, the more the better! Indoor plants don't just look good, they also possess various benefits that can help make your bedroom a healthier and happier place.

Studies have shown that plants have the power to boost your mood, reduce stress, increase productivity and improve sleep. According to a study conducted by NASA, houseplants can remove up to 87 per cent of air toxins in 24 hours, improving air quality in a space. Plants essentially do the opposite of what us humans do when we breathe - plants absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen. So here are my favourite air purifying and plants that are bound to enhance your life.

1. Areca Palm
